Without spending all night reading the intro documents so I'd feel confident editing the page, I just wanted to throw this out there:

Within the telephone industry, "multiple" has been used as a verb for a long time. This reference from 1965 is the earliest I've seen. A circuit is said to "be multipled" if it's connected so that the signal appears in several places. When adding to existing equipment, one might "multiple the alarms" so that the existing alarm monitoring systems now cover the new equipment too.

I don't know if industry-specific usage should be included here. Please delete if not. :)
