Usage notes need sourcing

The notes were added in diff and diff. I am tempted to just remove them: over the years, I have found many of that user's additions to be ... not explicitly wrong, per se, but just ... not improvements. (Another that comes to mind is diff, which I later noticed and removed, saying that if a Latin word cromulentus had existed, and if a Latin word cromus had existed, then cromulentus would've appeared to derive from cromus and English cromulent would've appear to derive from that, which is ... again, not exactly wrong, but just not a helpful addition, since cromus and cromulentus do not, in fact, exist or serve as the word's etyma.) - -sche (discuss) 20:20, 15 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
