@Ultimateria Hello. Could you take care of the defs of the Spanish term? Also, if it really means "tonga" as defined in the English entry, there are two (three?) different Spanish words. --Per utramque cavernam (talk) 22:34, 8 January 2018 (UTC)

@Per utramque cavernam: I've added defs and removed the "tonga" sense. We'd have to ask @Gente como tú which one he meant. The vehicle one may be citeable but it's hard to search for. Ultimateria (talk) 02:24, 9 January 2018 (UTC)

@Ultimateria: Thanks! I wonder how the semantic shift worked; the three senses seem very distinct.

Another totally unrelated question: what's the term for "the field/discipline/science of interpreting" (i.e. the second branch of the translation studies, with translation)? We don't seem to have that sense either at interpretation or interpreting, so I'm confused. French has traduction et interprétation, Spanish traducción y interpretación, but English...? --Per utramque cavernam (talk) 02:50, 9 January 2018 (UTC)

@Per utramque cavernam: I actually studied translation in Spain so I'm familiar with their terminology and less so with English. Based on random googling I'd say they're interchangeable. Neither sense is in major dictionaries, but Wikipedia doesn't distinguish. I've added a sense to interpretation and I'm working on interpreting now. Ultimateria (talk) 18:07, 9 January 2018 (UTC)
