- (religion) to slaughter and sacrifice a victim (usually an animal)
- Alla talab minn Abraham biex jidbaħ lil ibnu Iżakk.
- God demanded of Abraham that he sacrifice his son Isaac.
- (now rare) to slaughter (in general)
Usage notes[edit]
- For normal slaughtering of animals qatel (“to kill”) is used. The verb biċċer most often means “to butcher, kill brutally”.
