flooring nailer (plural flooring nailers)

  1. A tool designed specifically to drive a nail at about a 45-degree angle into the tongue of a tongue-and-groove board used for flooring, the hammer blow simultaneously pressing the board against its previously nailed match and fastening the board to subflooring.
