From Proto-Albanian *mand-, from Proto-Albanian *manzda, nasal present of Proto-Albanian *mazdnja (to feed, fatten) (modern maj);[2] alternatively from *mh̥₂-n-d-,[3] also a nasal present of *mh̥₂dnje/o (modern maj). More at maj.
