ծո • (co) (dialectal, colloquial)

1. used to address or call a familiar person, traditionally a male, often implying on the part of the speaker some degree of authority or annoyance

   Synonyms: տո (to), այ տղա (ay tġa), արա (ara)

2. woe! alas!

   Synonyms: ափսոս (apʻsos), վայ (vay), ավաղ (avaġ)

3. exclamation expressing surprise

Usage notes

Apparently, in the Van dialect, this word was used mainly by a man to address his wife, unlike in other dialects.
