Etymology[edit]

From the root ק־ר־ש (k-r-sh, “forming words relating to being solid”) and the pattern תַּקְטִיל. Coined by Academy of the Hebrew Language in 2007 as a replacement for גֶ׳ל (jel, “gel”).
