أَجَلَّكُمُ اللهُ • (ʔajallakumu llāhu)

1. (formal) Used when mentioning things that may be considered disgusting or unseemly, especially things to do with bodily functions, but among the pious sometimes anything that Islamic law considers impure.

   وَكانَت حائِضاً آنَذاكَ، أَجَلَّكُمُ الله.

   wakānat ḥāʔiḍan ʔānaḏāka, ʔajallakumu llāh.

   And she was – pardon me – menstruating at that time.

   فَرَأَى كَلْباً، أَجَلَّكُمُ الله.

   faraʔā kalban, ʔajallakumu llāh.

   Then he saw – pardon me – a dog.
