From Proto-Turkic *kïyïn.[1][2] Cognate with Karakalpak қүйүн, Turkmen kyn, Uzbek qiyin.

  1. hard; difficult
    قىيىن ئەھۋالدا قالماقqiyin ehwalda qalmaqto be in a difficult situation
    قىيىن ئىشqiyin ishdifficult matter
    قىيىن ئىش يوق ئالەمدە كۆڭۈل قويغان ئادەمگەqiyin ish yoq alemde kö'ngül qoyghan ademgenothing in the world is difficult for the diligent.
