Karakhanid

Etymology

Inherited from Common Turkic *yẹ̄d- (“to sew”). Cognate with Yakut ситии (sitii, “rope of a horse's hair”).

Verb

يِذْماكْ (yḗδmēk) (third-person singular aorist يِذارْ (yḗδēr))

1. (transitive) to sew

   اُلْ يَتكاكْ يَذْتٖى ― Ol yetgēk yḗδtī. ― He sewed the bundle.
