Either from Old Persian [Term?] (/⁠*nibrāšti-⁠/) or from Akkadian 𒈾𒀊𒇺 (/⁠nabliš⁠/, like a flame, like a light or flash); compare Hebrew נִבְרֶשֶׁת (niḇréšeṯ).
