先割れスプーン (sakiware supūn): a variety of different sporks.

Etymology[edit]

Compound of (saki, tip, end) +‎ 割れ (ware, splitting, cleaving, the 連用形 (ren'yōkei, continuative or stem form) of intransitive verb 割れる (wareru, to split, to cleave)) +‎ スプーン (supūn, spoon).[1][2][3]

Apparently coined to refer to the utensil provided as part of school food service.[1] First appearance unknown, but some time after 1860, the first attestation for スプーン (supūn).[4]
