Formed from 쉬다 (swida, “to rest or breathe”) using the poetic future suffix -리 (-ri).

  • Phonetic hangul: [(ː)]
    • Though still prescribed in Standard Korean, most speakers in both Koreas no longer distinguish vowel length.
