Basque[edit]

Etymology[edit]

Probably from an independent Proto-Basque verb *e-raz-i, itself the *-ra- causative of an unknown verb. The same *-ra- prefix is present in other verbs such as erabili (to put into motion, to use), from ibili (to walk).[1]
