Malay[edit]
Alternative forms[edit]
Etymology[edit]
Borrowed from English -ition or -ision.
Pronunciation[edit]
Suffix[edit]
-isyen (Jawi spelling يشن-)
Usage notes[edit]
In newer adaptations of English loanwords ending in -ition or -ision, this is now replaced by -isi in an effort to make the ending of words of this kind uniform with its Dutch-derived counterparts in Indonesian (compare tuisyen for tuition and edisi for edition).
