     So geriethen wir in die Jagdgeſchichten, von denen eine immer die andere nach ſich zog; nur einmal, in einer Pauſe des Geſpräches, ſagte Frau Chriſtine wie aus langem Sinnen: „Ob wohl noch die Kathe da iſt, am Ende der Straße, und das Aſtloch in der Hausthüre, durch das ich abends hinausſah, ob nicht mein Vater von der Arbeit komme? – Ich möcht’ doch einmal wieder hin!“
