Borrowed from Spanish Hispanismo, but with the silent ⟨h⟩ pronounced as /h/, most likely due to English influence (compare alkohol, hedonismo, Hinduismo, homiliya, nihilismo, rehabilitasyon). Attested from the 1970s.
