- The reformed Latin language as written or spoken as a lingua franca from 14th century Renaissance Latin to Contemporary Latin in the late 19th century.
Usage notes[edit]
New Latin is typically found in dictionaries or scientific discussions of nomenclature. When discussing the use of Latin language and literature in the early modern world, Neo-Latin is the preferred term.
