Prinsjesdag m (plural Prinsjesdagen, diminutive Prinsjesdagje n)
- the third Tuesday of September, when the Dutch monarch rides ceremoniously in a golden (i.e. gilded) coach to the Staten-Generaal to hold the troonrede ('throne speech'), announcing government policy and budget priorities for the coming parliamentary session.
