[edit]Baoan and Kangjia languages have an unusual nasal initial.
Etymology
[edit]From *huta- + *-sun. If the first element goes back to an earlier *puta-, then Manchu ᡶᡠᡨᠠ (futa, “rope, string”) is a (Para-)Mongolic borrowing.
