Germanic *bidjaną[edit]
I do not think that Germanic: *bidjaną (“to bid, make a request (of); ask”) and the cognates belong here. See its talk page why not. Zezen (talk) 12:38, 29 January 2016 (UTC)

Do you think that Appendix:Proto-Germanic/bīdaną is related thereto then as per bidan etc? If so, appart from the different meanings, why the different proposed etymologies? We need to standardize one way or the other. Zezen (talk) 20:54, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
