RfD discussion[edit]

This redirect is not a Greek word the is not a Greek letter (it should be ό The Τ may or may not be a Greek Tau) Saltmarsh 09:55, 30 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yes, it is a Greek tau. is also Greek...it’s the βαρεία, or grave accent. This gets lots of Google hits. I think it requires a redirect to το or to τό. —Stephen 07:31, 31 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thanks - this is obviously(?) Ancient Greek rather than Greek. So I guess it needs redirecting to something in Ancient Greek. Should this rfd bevome an rfv? —Saltmarsh 12:04, 1 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yes, it’s Ancient Greek. You can do an rfv if you want, but it’s definitely Greek. They used the grave accent to indicate a falling tone, and you find it especially on small unstressed words such as this and καὶ...so it could be redirected to τό. Obviously the capitalization is unneeded. —Stephen 15:38, 1 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
