Also raw foods?

[edit]

Can this term also be used to refer to someone who adheres to a diet of raw foods (not only meat)? 173.88.246.138 15:00, 1 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

@173.88.246.138: According to the Словник української мови: Академічний тлумачний словник (1970—1980) [Dictionary of the Ukrainian language: Academic explanatory dictionary (1970–1980)], сирої́д (syrojíd) can mean «Людина, що вживає сире м’ясо як їжу.» [“A person who consumes raw meat as food.”] or be equivalent in meaning to the Ukrainian людої́д (ljudojíd, man-eater), so, although the word etymologically means “raw-eater”, it is not recorded in the sense of “a person who adheres to a raw-food diet”. 0DF (talk) 22:17, 14 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
