Toneless variant[edit]

Attestable in ancient Chinese texts[edit]

@Tooironic, 運動 is found in ctext in 鶡冠子, Warring States (475 BC - 221 BC). But as I see at guoxuedashi, they do go back to imperial texts but not ancient. How should we interpret this? Hongthay (talk) 23:54, 28 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Again, my response would be much the same as 料理. From an etymological point of view, our focus should be on determining whether the term was used in China before importation from Japan, regardless of whether this was pre- or post- Qin. ---> Tooironic (talk) 01:35, 1 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
