It should not be re-entered without careful consideration.
The entry is not a lemma but a rule for word-formation. None of the quotations is an attestation of the (alleged) lemma, but applications of the rule. --Frigoris (talk) 09:15, 3 September 2021 (UTC)
- Delete. If sufficiently attestable, perhaps this can be mentioned in the usage notes for 年. It is not abundantly clear, though, what is meant by “the unreversed year” and its “modernness”. What is the point of this weirdness really? Is this an expression of a reactionary movement? A better explanation is needed. --Lambiam 10:44, 3 September 2021 (UTC)
- It seems to describe a substitution rule like this: "when irony/humour is to be expressed, reverse the numeral positions of the intended year", as in "It's Year 8102 already, and the promised 'upcoming' title still has not been released." Overall, the entry isn't appropriate for a dictionary, and even a usage note seems undeserved. --Frigoris (talk) 11:17, 3 September 2021 (UTC)
- Speedied. The entry name isn't even Chinese, and there's no way anyone would find it, except by accident. This would be like an entry for "(move consonants at the beginning of a syllable to the end and add -ay)" for pig Latin. It was posted in WT:RFM a couple of years ago, but the discussion fizzled out without a clear idea as to where to move it to. Chuck Entz (talk) 16:09, 3 September 2021 (UTC)

- It's defined as "Used to stress the recentness or modernness of the year", so my take would be that it is sufficiently closely related to 年 (nián). — SGconlaw (talk) 17:29, 31 March 2019 (UTC)
