A claim is made this is from dutch '18th century dutch' (as the source says niederdeutsch) "Schabbelun" (which I can find no attestation of), however, ironically the dutch 'sjabloon' refers to german Schablone as being it's origin. --212.92.114.68 01:13, 9 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
