Insane

[edit]

"Hatstand" also means "insane" in British slang, as in "completely hatstand". I doubt if I can find 3 print references for it though, so I'll just mention it here. This is one [1]. Kappa 11:11, 8 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Derived from a character in the "VIZ" adult comic. "Roger Irrelevant - He's Completely Hatstand !!!"

I don't think it does mean insane: it means irrelevant, and has limited usage; only really by analogy to Viz. Roger Irrelevant keeps mentioning irrelevant things, so to say something is "completely hatstand!" is a bit like saying "what's that got to do with the price of fish?" You're wrong there; "hatstand" means nutty, loony, cracked, not irrelevant. Roger Irrelevant is a loony because he brings up non sequiturs. 92.1.66.18 11:47, 5 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
