[edit]

It seems to me that English etymology 2, noun, definition 5 ("(Scotland, dialect) A fit of coughing or laughter.") is functionally identical to etymology 1, noun, definition 1 ("A convulsive fit of coughing or laughter; a sonorous indraft of breath; a whoop; a gasp of breath caused by laughing, coughing, or crying.") Are they identifiably distinct - that is, can 2n5 be reliably traced back to the second etymology - or should 2n5 be removed as a repeat of 1n1? 67.44.209.252 18:44, 23 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
