"the menopause"[edit]

a lot of people use this like a proper noun, like the walking pneumonia, and even we do it on the andropause page. is this a UK usage? a lot of the news stories talking about menopause right now are from Britain. i'm not familiar with it from the US. Soap 18:01, 11 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Our hot flush page, which is for a Commonwealth term (US speakers say hot flash), also uses the menopause so Im guessing this is also a Commonwealth term. Soap 10:51, 18 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
