Used alone as imperative[edit]
Isn't "preach!" used casually to approve of what someone is saying — a bit like "you go, girl"? Does our entry cover this adequately? Equinox ◑ 08:20, 3 December 2016 (UTC)
- Interjection, not imperative. But yes, it's missing; I'll add it in the coming days. 2601:240:CC00:8C6D:D102:5C4:FEE0:F0F0 08:03, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
- Still missing. church appears to be a synonym; I've just added that. Equinox ◑ 19:31, 15 May 2021 (UTC)

Harangue?[edit]
To define preaching as a harangue is about as incorrect as it could possibly be. At least in the Christian tradition, preaching is the act of announcing that Jesus is Christ and Lord, and that he brings about spiritual gifts that are eternal. I realize there are plenty of other religions, and what they mean by preaching could be very different from this. But, for Christians, it is an announcement, certainly not a harangue. L. Thomas W.
