Now, why are nonsense articles here always labelled tosh? bd2412 T 01:14, 27 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Because they're so bad that the guy who wrote it must be high (or retarded, but I try to AGF). ;-) --Rory096 02:09, 27 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Etymology[edit]

Etymology: "tosh" might be a blend/portmanteau word/neologism made from the words "bosh" and "trash."

Tosh:

Also a nickname: (term of endearment) used in Scotland - possibly abreviation of "MAKIN tosh" could also be relevant to "rubbissh" interpretation.

  • Anonymous discussion added to article 7 Nov 2007:

Nonsense. "The slang tosh is a blend of the words 'trash' and 'bosh.' Bosh comes from the Turkish word for empty. Tosh means 'nonsense' or 'empty, worthless talk.'" (contributed by Sebastian Chen)
