Etymology[edit]
Of Lower Sorbian origin. Compare Bramborska (“Brandenburg”). Interpreted as "crop from Brandenburg", as imported to Bohemia by Prussian soldiers during the War of the Bavarian Succession (1778–1779).[1][2]
