  1. (dentistry) An instrument used to extract tooth roots.
    • 1926, Popular Health Dental Supplement, volume 2, Popular Health Publishing Company, page 71:
      A set of three exolevers with blades so narrow and thin that they may be inserted readily between the root end and the process, making it possible to remove very small root ends with little danger of forcing them into the antrum.
