Finnish[edit]
Etymology[edit]
Pronunciation[edit]
Noun[edit]
gruyère
Usage notes[edit]
- The inflection of this word is problematic as it does not readily fit into any Finnish declension pattern. Joukahainen recommends type 8 (nalle), which is shown below, but this inflection pattern does not conform with pronunciation. Therefore it might be advisable to use inflected forms of the synonymous term gruyèrejuusto in writing.
