kick down (third-person singular simple present kicks down, present participle kicking down, simple past and past participle kicked down)
- To break or demolish something by physical bodily force, especially stomping.
- The elderly woman was rescued off the floor after a young paramedic managed to kick her door down.
Usage notes[edit]
The object can come before or after the particle. If the object is a pronoun, then it must come before the particle.
