To cancel by mistake.
- 1911, Ainslee's - Volume 26, page 137:
  No one will ever discover it, and, if they do, the lady has only to say that she stupidly miscanceled.
- 2012, Klaus Wandelt, Surface and Interface Science, Volumes 1 and 2:
