As for Tonal Class, Benson (1964) classifies this term into Class 3 with a tetrasyllabic stem, together with gĩeterero, and so on.

  • (Limuru) Yukawa (1981:121) classifies the term mũathimũro into a group whose only remaining member is mũthiũrũrũko.[2]
  • (Nairobi) Yukawa (1985:193) classifies the term mũathimũro into a group including irigithathi etc.[3]
