From Ancient Greek πολυπραγμοσύνη (polupragmosúnē, meddlesomeness), from πολυπράγμων (poluprágmōn, meddlesome) (from πολύς (polús, many) + πρᾶγμα (prâgma, act)) + -σύνη (-súnē, -ness). See poly-, pragmatic.
