Etymology[edit]
Compound of tash (moment (now)) + ti (-arily), cognate to Albanian tash (“now”), tashi (“id”), tesh (“id”) and ndashti (“at/in this moment”). From Proto-Albanian *to-su, locative form of pronominal stem Proto-Albanian *to- (resp. Proto-Albanian *ta ̊).[1] From Proto-Indo-European *to- (“it”). Cognate to Lithuanian tadà (“then, thereupon”) and Sanskrit तदा (ta-dā́, “then”).
