Internationalism; compare English trigonometry, French trigonométrie, German Trigonometrie, ultimately from New Latin trigōnometria, from Ancient Greek τρίγωνον (trígōnon) + μέτρον (métron). By surface analysis, trygono- +‎ -metria.
