From не- (ne-) + combining form відворо́т- (possibly inherited from Old East Slavic отъворотити (otŭvorotiti), compare Russian отвороти́ть (otvorotítʹ)) + -ний (-nyj). Compare Russian неотврати́мый (neotvratímyj), Polish nieodwracalny (irreversible).
