Bashkir[edit]

Һепертке.

Etymology[edit]

Compare to Tatar себерке (seberke, broom), Southern Altai сибирги (sibirgi, broom), Khakas сыбырғы (sıbırğı, broom), Crimean Tatar sipirki (broom), Uzbek supurgi (broom), Turkmen süpürgi (broom).

All these forms go back to *süpürkü ~ *sipirki (broom), from Proto-Turkic *sipür- (to sweep). However, the Bashkir term has a more complex makeup - it incorporates the additional -t- morpheme, which is apparently the causative affix.
