Etymology[edit]

Derived from Arabic نَاْغَشَ (nāḡaša, to play, to flirt, to banter, to tease, literally to be shook around) or Arabic نُغَاش (nuḡāš) / نُغَاشِيّ (nuḡāšiyy, very small, diminutive, miniature; dwarf, pygmy).
