Etymology[edit]

Borrowed from Prakrit 𑀲𑀢𑁆𑀢𑀢𑀻𑀲𑀁 (sattatīsaṃ), from Sanskrit सप्तत्रिंशत् (saptatriṃśat). For the preservation of /r/, see ތިރީސް (tirīs).
