Etymology[edit]

Inherited from Maharastri Prakrit 𑀡𑀺𑀓𑁆𑀓𑀸𑀮𑁂𑀇 (ṇikkālei), from Sanskrit निष्कालयति (niṣkālayati). Compare Hindustani نِکالْنَا (nikālnā) / निकालना (nikālnā), Sindhi نِڪارَڻُ / निकारणु, Nepali निकाल्नु (nikālnu).[1]
