Etymology[edit]
Inherited from Sanskrit পৰশ্ৱঃ (paraśvaḥ). Cognate with Sylheti ꠙꠞꠥ (foru), Bengali পরশু (porśu), Hindi परसों (parsõ), Marathi परवा (parvā).
