From კანკ- (ǩanǩ-) +‎ -უმ (-um) +‎ -ს (-s). Inherited from Proto-Georgian-Zan *ḳeḳ- (“to stoke, pole (with beak); to knock”).

   ბოზოჩქიმიქ ლუყუ კანკუმს. ლიმჯინეჲი გჲაჲი გალიბა ლუყუ კანკეჲი ივასენ.

   bozoçkimik luqu ǩanǩums. limcineyi gyayi galiba luqu ǩanǩeyi ivasen.

   My daughter is mashing the cabbage. I think the dinner will be mashed cabbage.
