Sino-Korean word from 공산(共産) (gongsan, “communism”) + 당(黨) (dang, “party”).

- Phonetic hangul: [공(ː)산당]
- Though still prescribed in Standard Korean, most speakers in both Koreas no longer distinguish vowel length.
