Etymology[edit]

First attested in the Dong'ui bogam (東醫寶鑑 / 동의보감), 1613, as Early Modern Korean 므은드레 (Yale: muuntuley), from unattested Middle Korean *므ᅀᅳᆫ드레 (Yale: *muzuntuley). Compare Yukjin Korean 무슨둘레 (museundulle, dandelion), Jeolla Korean 머심달레 (meosimdalle, dandelion).
